Same-Day Cleaning Service
She always goes above and beyond . I’ve had cleaners come and go for 15 years, they have never been as great as Yvonne is, and she continues do somehow do an ever better job every time she comes. Yes, but only if you don’t expect to take it all on yourself!

It’s easy to find the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport flight to make your booking and travel a breeze. The net issue I had was with the gate agent. We had added a carryon to our boarding pass when we checked bags. When I got to the boarding gate the agent was rude asking why I had a backpack - I said I added it - even had an orange tag on it. She ripped my tag off and swung her monitor around to show me how she was right- saying it isn’t wasn’t listed - only a checked bag. I explained again that I wasn’t sure what the issue was but I wouldn’t have an orange tag if I hadn’t added it.

But if you love getting the best deal, Booking.com is a great way to compare all the types of lodging. Airbnb also has an edge over some of its competitors in offering “experiences” and restaurant booking through its site. However, I’m looking forward to trying Wimdu on my next trip to Europe. Plus, I think I’d enjoy the OneFineStay experience on a future special getaway.
How to start investing with little money
Like OneFineStay, Wimdu offers the assurance of verified properties and owners. However, it’s unclear if all properties are checked or just some of them. Overall, the websites of these next three short-term rental sites are visually similar, but they vary in terms of average price, extra fees, property selection, and target audience.
New options for niche experiences
The only downside is that this level of service and experience doesn’t come cheap. When I searched listings in NYC, I saw many more Manhattan properties than on other sites (which primarily had Brooklyn listings) and nightly rates averaged around $500. There were a few Brooklyn listings for around $300/night, but also many Manhattan listings for $1,000 and up. However, cleaning is included in the nightly rate, and there are no hidden fees added to your total upon booking. Since Airbnb’s founding in 2008, short-term rentals have become a popular alternative to hotels for travelers who want to save money and enjoy a more original, less touristy experience. Today’s short-term rental market is diverse with large and smaller companies offering many options to travelers.
Established Airbnb alternatives in the short-term rental market
Indeed, the gorgeous listing photos seem to have been taken straight out of The New York Times’ real estate section. OneFineStay also provides concierge services you would find at a hotel. They offer services such as a personal greeting upon arrival, fresh linens and toiletries, and 24/7 support.

Buncombe short-term rental restriction proposal rouses more debate.
You can pay for additional services including airport transfers, childcare, and grocery delivery. As with HomeAway and VRBO, it’s easy to size up the location as you browse listings. You pay half of the total upfront and the second half prior to your arrival.
Many of the listing photos look like generic rentals rather than someone’s home. For one sample listing I looked at, there was a $150 cleaning fee and a $140 service fee. Depending on the nightly rate, this could be the equivalent of paying for one or two additional nights.
Your money deserves more than a soundbyte.
Travelers who want a hotel’s level of service plus the unique experience of staying in someone’s home will enjoy OneFineStay. The higher nightly rates won’t be worth it every time you travel, but could be fun for a special occasion. VRBO calls itself “the most popular vacation rental site in the US” as well as a place to search for short-term rentals. When I browsed properties in NYC I saw some of the same listings as on HomeAway, but in general VRBO has lower nightly rates.
Some even pre-dating Airbnb, and many are owned by larger travel companies. If you’re looking for a private room, a pet-friendly accommodation, or a more hotel-like experience, we’ll help you figure out the best site to use for your next trip. Listing photos suggest homes with more unique character/aesthetic appeal. From longtime players like Vacation Rentals By Owner (VRBO), to niche newcomers like OneFineStay, we’ll explain the pros and cons of the most popular Airbnb alternatives.
VRBO
However, the nightly rates on listings I browsed in NYC and Rehoboth Beach, DE, weren’t significantly cheaper than HomeAway and VRBO. I did notice there were fewer NYC listings, suggesting this site is geared more toward beach houses and country getaways than short-term urban rentals. Many listings have a longer minimum stay threshold of five or seven nights.
Still, Airbnb remains the best place to find a private room if you don’t want an entire home to yourself. I recently used it to reserve a NYC apartment for a trip my family is planning with friends. We enjoyed the convenience of splitting the payment through Airbnb instead of one person making the reservation and waiting to be paid back. 9flats is another small short-term rental site that promises its listings are all owner-occupied. Their objective, along with OneFineStay’s, seems to be to distinguish themselves from the many generic listings operated by property managers that appear on other sites.
However, prices are in euros, so whatever you see will be more expensive in American dollars. When you fill out the reservation request form, you’re told that “taxes and fees” are included in the total, but you have to click on “show details” to see the exact breakdown. As you move your mouse over each listing, the corresponding dot on the map lights up. This is helpful since many listing titles don’t mention a particular neighborhood. Created in the wake of Airbnb’s success, these short-term rental sites offer more luxury and personalized service than the competition. You can also search for pet-friendly rentals and enjoy the convenience of seeing a listing’s location on the map as you hover over it.
This makes it easy to scan a large number of listings and decide which ones to click on based on price and rating. Nightly rates are more in line with HomeAway and VRBO, ranging from $135 to close to $1,000. And like these sites, extra fees are added to the total, although it’s harder to see what you’re paying for (cleaning fee, tax, and booking fee). VRBO’s additional fees vary more than any other site I reviewed except for VacationRentals.com. One listing I reviewed didn’t have a cleaning fee but it did ask for a refundable $400 damage deposit.
With hand-picked listings in international cities, OneFineStay offers a luxurious twist on the short-term rental business model. The company promises that all properties have been personally inspected by a staffer to ensure they are “well-designed,” “well-located,” and owner-occupied. The only downside to this site is that there are so many options, it can feel overwhelming.
HomeAway offers “vacation rentals” and “vacation homes”, suggesting a target audience of leisure travelers seeking week-long beach house or cabin rentals. However, most listings have only a two or three-night minimum stay, so you could also use HomeAway for weekend getaways and other short trips. There is a tax/service fee added to the total as well as a currency conversion fee if you’re paying with American dollars. I didn’t understand why additional fees like “accidental waiver fee” and trip insurance are added to the total with no explanation or option for removal. And that’s on top of tax and the service and processing fees, which seemingly should be combined. VacationRentals.com seems geared more toward budget-conscious travelers.
The United States and Japan recognize that the climate crisis is the existential challenge of our time and intend to be leaders in the global response. Towards our shared goal of accelerating the clean energy transition, we are launching a new high-level dialogue on how we implement our respective domestic measures and maximize their synergies and impacts, including the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act and Japan’s Green Transformation (GX) Promotion Strategy aimed at accelerating energy transition progress this decade, promoting complementary and innovative clean energy supply chains and improving industrial competitiveness. Today we announce Japan joins as the first international collaborator of the U.S. The United States welcomes Japan’s newly-launched industry platform, the Floating Offshore Wind Technology Research Association (FLOWRA), aiming to reduce costs and achieve mass production of floating offshore wind through collaboration with academia. In this new era of U.S.-Japan cooperation, we recognize that global events affect the security and stability of the Indo-Pacific, and that developments in our shared region reverberate around the world.

A major priority of the Vice Provost is to help as many UCLA students as possible gain international experience and a global perspective in their field of study. She has been actively involved in fundraising for study abroad scholarships and graduate fellowships.Undergraduates may study abroad for a semester or an academic year, attend a summer travel study program or pursue an internationally oriented internship (for credit) with a business or nonprofit organization. They may also become fluent in a foreign language, learn about the cultures and histories of nations worldwide, forge friendships with international peers and participate in student organizations focused on global engagement. Graduate students must frequently achieve proficiency in foreign languages and conduct research in those languages in countries and regions worldwide. She also champions graduate fellowships, as well as the participation of international scholars in the activities of UCLA schools and divisions and campus life as a whole.

We are committed to continuing to impose severe sanctions on Russia and provide unwavering support for Ukraine. Together, we reiterate our call on Russia to immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw its forces from within the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine. Any threat or use of nuclear weapons in the context of its war of aggression against Ukraine by Russia is unacceptable. We also express serious concerns about growing North Korea-Russia military cooperation, which is supporting Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and threatens to undermine peace and stability in Northeast Asia as well as the global non-proliferation regime.

The philosophy of Vice Provost Fan centers around the notion that global cooperation and global perspectives create pathways to solutions to some of our greatest societal problems — from combatting racism, to mitigating the harms of climate change for future generations, to ending the COVID-19 pandemic. “Cooler heads must now prevail to ensure peace in the region and security for Israel,” Sanders said. On the other side of the Capitol, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday advanced five bills, including ones that targeted Iran for its human rights record and would require sanctions on ports and refineries that receive and process Iranian oil.

We also emphasize the importance of private sector investment in the Indo-Pacific. We welcome the announcement of Google’s $1 billion investment in digital connectivity for North Pacific Connect, which expands the Pacific Connect Initiative, with NEC, to improve digital communications infrastructure between the United States, Japan and Pacific Island Nations. As our countries strengthen our bilateral ties, we will continue to build our relationships with like-minded partners in the region. Today, we announce our vision to cooperate on a networked air defense architecture among the United States, Japan, and Australia to counter growing air and missile threats.

We are also working to align global health security and innovation, including in such areas as pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response and promoting more resilient, equitable, and sustainable health systems. Food and Drug Administration and the Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) intend to collaborate and exchange information on oncology drug products to help cancer patients receive earlier access to medications and to discuss future drug development and ways to prevent drug shortages. We welcome PMDA’s future representative office in Washington, D.C., to facilitate this cooperation.
Finally, we emphasize the need to build a diverse pipeline of future U.S.-Japan experts who understand and support the Alliance. Our peoples form the core of our Alliance, and we reaffirm our commitment to forge ever-closer bonds for generations to come. How much does an MSC Cruises voyage cost?
As a result of its rapid growth, MSC Cruises recently passed Norwegian to become the world's third-biggest cruise brand when measured by passenger capacity. If that sounds like too many ships to get your head around, note that all 22 of the vessels in operation, as well as the three on order, fall into six distinct classes. The ships within each of the classes have similar sizes and onboard attractions. All the North America-based ships are marketed heavily to Americans, and the line has tailored some of the features and activities on the vessels to a North American crowd. While the Switzerland-based company is the third-biggest cruise line in the world, it has far less name recognition among Americans than big U.S.-based lines such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line. A large percentage of its customers came from countries such as Italy, Germany, France and Spain.

MSC World Europa offers a major new option for cruisers who love being on the biggest, most amenity-packed vessels. Like Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises has been building big resortlike vessels that offer every sort of amusement known to humans, from giant water parks to race car simulators. It currently operates eight of the 20 biggest cruise ships in the world — one of which (MSC Meraviglia) now calls North America home with year-round sailings out of New York City. With this innovative technology, MSC made available to the company's top European sellers (travel agencies) a powerful tool for introducing the brand to potential customers.
Passport Services
MSC Seashore and MSC Seascape are slightly bigger versions of the first two ships in the series that are part of a subclass called Seaside EVO (EVO stands for "evolution"). They each can hold 4,540 passengers at double occupancy (5,877 with every berth filled). Additionally, MSC World Europa has six pools and 14 hot tubs, making it one of the most pool-covered ships at sea.
As you pass densely forested islands and glacially carved fjords, the guide will provide commentary that describes the geological, natural and cultural history in fascinating detail. Don’t be surprised if you spot, Harbor porpoise, sea otters and whales along the way. Another side of Alaska awaits you in Sitka National Historical Park, where you will hike through the temperate rainforest. The trail is dotted with brightly colored totem poles that mirror the ones that were exhibited at the 1904 World’s Fair. The indigenous Tlingit people carved and painted the totems, which feature highly symbolic human, animal and supernatural forms. We work with reputable, local tour operators to offer you a wide variety of excursions to choose from, in every port you’ll visit.
You want someone who knows all about the line's various cabin categories and, preferably, has done ship inspections to see them firsthand. Then there's the MSC Yacht Club experience, mentioned above, which is the ultimate in onboard living. Even with its higher price tag, the MSC Yacht Club still provides great value for its wide range of perks, such as unlimited drinks in all MSC Yacht Club areas, including premium spirits and minibar items. MSC Cruises has a point-based frequent cruiser program, the MSC Voyagers Club, that has four tiers ranging from Classic (requiring 1 point) to Diamond (10,000 points). You must be at least 21 years old to consume alcohol on sailings in the U.S. and the Caribbean.
Every MSC Cruises ship has a casino, and on the line's larger vessels, they are big operations. Le Grand Casino on MSC Grandiosa, for instance, has 164 slot machines, 12 table games (including blackjack, roulette and poker) and its own bar. Like other megaship lines, MSC Cruises is known for big, glitzy theater productions performed in onboard theaters that are as state-of-the-art as anything you'll find on Broadway. Solo cabins (called interior studios) measuring just 127 square feet can be found on the line's seven newest vessels. The biggest suites on MSC Grandiosa, which launched in 2019, span two levels and offer around 635 square feet of interior space, plus another 237 square feet of outdoor balcony space.
Unlike some lines, MSC Cruises doesn't allow passengers to bring their own alcohol on board. It's important that the name on your reservation is listed exactly as it appears on your passport or other official proof of nationality. Then there's Teen Club (ages 15 to 17), which hosts disco parties, karaoke parties and Wii, Xbox and PlayStation 4 tournaments. On MSC Grandiosa, teens even get the chance to pilot a drone through an obstacle course during an activity called the Drone Academy, and the ship holds a teen dance competition designed in partnership with the company behind "The X Factor." The bigger MSC Cruises ships also have interactive game zones with such attractions as Formula One racing simulators, immersive XD cinemas, arcade games and even full-size bowling alleys. The five Meraviglia and Meraviglia Plus Class vessels also have soaring interior mall-like spaces called Gallerias with bars, restaurants and retail shops, as does the new MSC World Europa.

Coral Princess cruise ship arrives in Dover UK for inaugural call before world voyage
In November 2021, the voyage was canceled due to uncertainties regarding Australia's travel restrictions. In 2017, Coral Princess did its maiden season of Panama Canal cruises through the new locks (inaugurated on June 26, 2016). Due to the Coronavirus crisis, the Coral Princess ship was paused for 2+ years (March 2020 thru June 2022) and World Cruise 2022 (107-night roundtrip from Sydney-Brisbane-Auckland NZ) was canceled. Follows the complete list of Coral Princess lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens and adults. Guests who prefer more formal fare can choose the sit-down service in the Bordeaux dining room for breakfast and lunch.

The new "cruise bed" was developed in collaboration with PhD Michael Breus (commonly known as The Sleep Doctor) and the designer Candice Olson. The new cabin beds feature a luxury pillow-top mattress, individually wrapped coils (reducing surface sway) and hypoallergenic duvets. Most Coral Princess staterooms (1000 total, in 34 grades) are 170-ft2 balcony cabins (581). Almost 80% of the ship's outside staterooms have private step-out balconies. The largest accommodations are the Balcony Suites (470 ft2 / 44 m2, including the terrace).
Suite (MD)
The luxurious Mini-Suite offers approximately 280 to 302 square feet of comfort and a separate seating area with a sofa bed for lounging or sleeping a third passenger. The spacious balcony is approximately 35 to 58 square feet and the bathroom offers a combination tub and shower. Some Mini-Suites also have a pullman bed to accommodate a 4th passenger. Oceanview Mini-Suites offer no balcony but feature a large approximately 300-square foot cabin space with a picture window. Window Suite features a picture window from which to enjoy the views. Surrounding you with deluxe accommodations, Window Suite includes all the amenities of a Club Class Mini-Suite, plus incredible premiums.

The boat has 15 decks (12 passenger-accessible, 7 with cabins), 9 restaurants and bars, 6 lounges, 4 swimming pools, 5 outdoor Jacuzzis, 14 elevators. When it comes to specialty dining, both offer the line's popular Sabatini's Italian restaurant, as well as the New Orleans-themed Bayou Cafe & Steakhouse and the pop-up Crab Shack. Like all Princess ships, the two Coral-class ships also have two pools and offer the Discovery at SEA program for kids. While most cruisers who select a Coral-class ship enjoy the laid-back ambiance onboard, most people choose the ships for their itineraries. Both ships offer yearly Panama Canal and Central America journeys, as well as full seasons in Alaska. Engage in Princess Cruises' onboard activities, including movie nights, ScholarShip classes, pools, hot tubs, poolside activities, sports courts, art auctions, ship tours, duty-free shops and more.
To ensure the ship has staying power, Princess gave the ship an enormous makeover in November 2009. New soft goods, carpeting in coral and turquoise hues, draperies and bedding were also added. The 91,627-ton ship, built just trim enough to traverse the Panama Canal, accommodates 1,970 passengers and 900 crewmembers. On our 10-day trip -- from Fort Lauderdale through the Caribbean to Panama and back -- the ship was fully booked. But remarkably, there was a surprising sense of spaciousness onboard, a function of both design and operational efficiency. The Lotus Spa Fitness Center also features state-of-the-art equipment so you can tone on your own.
The boat has 15 decks, of which 12 are passenger-accessible and 7 with cabins. From rejuvenating spa treatments and the tranquility of a top-deck retreat reserved just for adults to our state-of-the-art fitness centers, you’ll find all the elements to come back new.
